Student Scores

In reviewing many of the latest scores it seems that they have dipped slightly lower than normal.

If you received lower than a 65% on a quiz or test you will be asked to go back over the unit of study and try it one more time to improve not only your score but your knowledge of the subject that you are going over.

If you scores are below a 65% expect a contact call within the next few days from one of our counselors or teachers to ask you where you are having a problem and try to resolve the issue with you.

The Modern Witchcraft School feels that if you do not succeed we do not succeed. Plain and simple.

Realizing that some of the units are harder than others those students that are having trouble might just need a quick explanation. We have found that at times it is the simplest of topics that just gets confusing

The funniest part is that all teachers and counselors are expected to take the same tests and quizzes at various times during the year. You would be surprised at the results!

Take your time to learn what is there in front of you. Don't rush through the pages. Remember it is not a race to see who finishes first

My daughter and son in law are celebrating their anniversary next month. I can not believe that they have been married 8 years now! They are a match made in, well sometimes heaven. Another quick note. Now that things are nearing back to whatever is normal the topic thread about the Dark Night of the Soul will again re-start.

With all the craziness around here, either personal or school it was forced to be on the back burner. So did a lot of other really great ideas that were thrown around

Now though the tunnel is clearing and the light is right around the bend for things to get back in the swing of things.

Get Your Budget Under Control

I have talked to so many students that want to purchase their supplies yet can not afford it. There are many of our tools that are needed and instead of making them the old fashioned way they want to purchase. Which is fine and I totally understand this. One way that you might be able to get those things that you want is to start a budget. Ah, I hear more groans and moans. A budget is so hard to deal with but you have to do this in order to save money. Some may think of ways to consolidate debt. Having one payment a month instead of multiple. There are many ways in which to do this. A debt consolidation loan is one way.

Breaking up all your payments and placing them in one single payment plan might sound horrendous. Having only one larger balance, extending your time period of re-payment will in fact reduce your payments and interest rate will be reduced. Paying all those interest rates for different cards and other small loans is a killer. Have you ever figured out your interest rates and what you are paying? Wow! I did that once a very long time ago and it was astonishing to say the least.

Now I am by far not an expert. But having one monthly bill is a lot easier to remember and pay than say ten. Your odds of being late or missing the payment might be lowered as well.

Hours Notice

Tomorrow we will be back to normal operation as usual.

The meeting went well on we will have a partial report for students on Friday. So much was talked about. Not just gossip and BS!

Usually on the weekend we are open at least a half day on Saturday and closed on Sunday

This weekend is different. Since it is a three day weekend we are closing until Tuesday morning. Since most of the staff are parents it is time to have that one last BBQ and celebrate.

I'll post a reminder of all this on Friday in case you all forget

Party Time Coming Soon

Our annual Christmas Party Dance committee is being formed. I know. I know thinking about the holidays in the heat of summer just seems like a crime against nature. Yet each year around this time we begin to form and talk about the party plans. Amazing really that it seems like just yesterday we put away all the decorations and now we are here doing it again. All the Christmas invitations will be sent out the first week of November. This year there is an estimated 200 invitations that will be sent. Party gets bigger and bigger as the years go by. Since there are a few months left in planning but I thought that I would give those students that would like to throw their name in the hat for the Student committee they could do so soon.

Promotional Ideas

One way that we have used to promote our school is by handing out promotional pens. During meetings, events you name it we will have a pen or ten to hand out to interested people.

Our students that have received them love the fact that it has our phone number and address so they always have it available for those times they need to contact us.

We like it as it spreads the word of our school to those people that may wish to enroll. There are a lot of ways in which to promote your business but a pen seems to be the best liked

Skin Care For Teens

One thing is for sure you are never to young to start a good skin care regiment. For young teens there are so many acne treatment cream products out there. Which ones are the best? Or worse for the skin? I know my teens have tried a few of them and did not like them for one reason or the other. There was one that had the pads that made my younger son actually cry out as it burnt his skin. I guess they figure that the acne goes away and so does the skin. Be careful when you are purchasing these products. I think that with washing, eating right and sun screen your acne will be slight. If not maybe a doctor can lead you to the best products

I don't know about you but my time is so very limited. I do not have time to mess around letting my fingers do the walking in the yellow pages for quotes on anything. I was in a hurry to find the right policy and price a week or so ago after the purchase of my car.

Staff Meeting Scheduled

On Wednesday we have schedules the monthly corporate performance management meeting. During this meeting we will discuss the criteria for the hiring of new mentors and instructors. Also on the agenda will be discussed the 24 hour help hot line for students and any other individual that is in spiritual crisis. This topic will be discussed this Wednesday and put to a vote in October.

Students please be aware that the office will be closed early. Closing at 1PM This is only an upper level meeting. Please do not send your suggestions at this time.

Our next staff meeting will be September 5th. At that time please send your ideas and suggestions in to us

One thing that I would like you to do on this blessed Sunday is to look around you. A good deep look. Now that you have done that what did you see? What did you feel?

Counting your blessings is not as easy as it seems. We tend to overlook those good things that we have around us. Seeing only the what is in our eye shot not the entire length. We see what we wish to see. Stopping short of allowing ourselves to feel blessed.

Why should we feel guilty if you are thinking that you have so many good things in our lives? We should not. Be thankful for the good thing and people around you. Even those bad things that happen to us count towards our blessings. The Gods and Goddesses present these tests as learning experiences making us individually stronger and wiser.

Let your friends and loved ones know how grateful you are for their being in your life. Be happy for the things that you do have. Allow yourself that happy feeling without guilt

Free Cell Phones for Back to School

My son awhile back was looking into the various cell phone plans in order to get the right plan and phone for him. He was torn between the at&t wireless offers and a couple of other companies. Since we live in a tiny community we are very limited as to plans that we can choose from.

In doing the research for my other son we ran into many really good deals from companies that offer free at&t phones. Which is a nice incentive to purchase a plan.

The only thing that I really am not to fond of is the contract part of the phones that we have now. Being locked in for a year or two is just a little to much for me as you never know if you will really like the company or not. Like my older son is with a company that their billing is terrible and we have had numerous problems with them. Really is annoying to have to call a company and correct them at least twice a month.

Now, my other son that wants a phone was looking into the free T-Mobile phones and the plans that are available. He does have a budget to stick to! He really liked the phones that were over there but still is thinking. haha

While we were looking at the free cell phone offers for students and back to school I made him read the various reviews such as the LG VU CU920 reviews. The reviews were really good so I told him to put that on the list of phones and the site of course. You really want to make sure that not only is the plan the best suited for your child but the phone has all the neat things that they want AND in tip top all the time working order.

With having children that are teens one of the other things that I look for are like the AT&T unlimited calling plans . I would rather pay a little more for unlimited if I have to rather than more at the end of the month! They do talk and text a lot!

Student ID Cards

Hey guys and dolls just a quick note to let everyone know that those that have yet to receive their student ID cards that they will be sent out early next week.

We finally received the out of stock lamination pockets that we were out of today. Now it is the process of getting the cards printed and sent out to you all

Expect to see them in your mailbox sometime late next week or so. Give the PO time. Delivery time should be 5-7 days. Give or take a day or two

New Accessory

One thing that I can never have enough of and that is extra eyeglasses. I tend to lay them down and can never remember where they are at. I have a really bad habit of having on my head and so used to them being there that I continue to look around for where I laid them down at.

I have solved the major problem and that is having a spare pair for my purse that I just leave in there. Finally I have a pair that I can do that with. Now I have a pair in my office, by my bed, in the workroom and in my purse.

Do I still misplace them? Do I really have to answer that?

Letters. Oh yes we get letters about sales job search that they found about us. Where this is coming from I have no idea. But they pour in. Applying for jobs (or seeking to apply) in the sales department.

For those of you that are searching for sales jobs and run across MWS please believe me there are no jobs like that available. In fact we do not even have a sales department! Ah, and we are not looking to make on either so no suggestions please.

I thought maybe there might be something that is pretty close to us and these people are just in error.
