Animal Cops Coming to a City Near You!
Guest post of the week by Fletcher Peterson
Recently I was feeling really depressed and ended up watching TV for sixteen hours straight. Most of the time I was watching the Animal Planet channel. I stumbled upon a show called "Animal Cops Phoenix" and it is now my favorite educational show. I watch it on Satellite TV
A recent episode I watched was called "Mange Misery" and it treated the subject of mange in a really compassionate manner. Rather than showing home video of stark naked dogs scratching themselves and fighting over meager scraps in a hick's backyard, they filmed with thousand dollar cameras and paid the owner of the mange dogs not to sue them.
I th! ought this was a good idea because I have been sued by a dog owner before for kicking the dog when it barked at me for trespassing onto the property. Needless to say, I did not come out well financially from that situation. I still had enough money to buy food for a depressed TV marathon and here we are full circle. I could really identify with the mange because I had had several skin conditions before.
The dogs were treated by Marisa McHugh and Stacie DaBolt in a humane manner. I thought it was a little much when they hugged the ugly dogs but that is called having a big human sized heart of gold.
