With so many workings (nearly all) that require candles, burning paper or incense we have to be very careful at how we handle these hot items.

Not everyone will own a fire proof cauldron (big or little) and sometimes they are quiet expensive to acquire. One thing that we have found that is reasonably inexpensive and an easy craft project is to use glass tiles to place your items that need heat onto.

Going to a hardware store like Home Depot, Lowe's or even Ace (maybe) you may find a great assortment of sales on the various tiles that spark your creativity. Of course you may always try flooring stores as well to make your final tile choice.

Not only will you have a one of a kind altar piece but you will have something that you know will be able to hold your heated items that are in a container safely!
