Preparing For Summer

Yes, its nearly summer. Although our weather here is still a little chilly you can tell that summer is nearly here.

One thing that everyone should do is start to collect the spring time blooms and begin the drying process to be used in the fall and winter. There are so many new blooms that are coming out that it is great to go outside and start the harvest. New blooms and cuttings can be dried and used at a later date in time.

Each season there are so many cuttings that you can collect to use now or savor in the cold, harsh winter. I know that I love collecting the fresh clippings for the best wrinkle cream that our store makes! I make sure to collect the spring cuttings, drying and then labeling them with the month and time they were collected.

Be sure to ask permission from all plants and trees before you take from them. They will appreciate this and the next time you wish to cut they will allow you to more easily as you were respectful to their feelings.
