Preparing for the Holiday

If you are like our staff here the upcoming week might be the last full school week that is to be had. All our little munchkins will be out and about or under our feet until well after the first of the new year.

What to do? What to do? Now you could hide, something that I will be doing towards the last week or you can put those darlings to work preparing for the holiday!

I know that I will be having my 15 year old try his hand at installing   new refrigerator water filters as he said he could do that with no problem at all! That should take him most of the afternoon!

My younger son will be decorating gingerbread men and women in the kitchen watching. haha Get those children involved in fun events around the house. Whether it is decorating or cleaning getting ready for the Yule. Make it a family thing to do! Our tradition is the big bake day that everyone, and I mean everyone gets to bake or decorate something yummy to eat on Yule's Eve and the actual day of Yule.

It is a great way to have family fun and the making of memories that will last longer than cookies and filters!
