Slumberland

A lot of people are not sleeping well at all. Either from stress or a health problem, sleep evades them. I know that personally I suffer from insomnia more times than I would like but there are ways that do help.

A good way to get a good nights sleep (hopefully that is) is by a nice glass of milk. I know that sounds so silly but for me it works like a charm. I laughed when I heard this at first and gave it a try. It did help and what have you got to loose? Hopefully not sleep!

I mentioned charm, that is yet another way to help you sleep. Make a simple charm from lavender and chamomile in a white linen pouch tucking under your pillow may also help you with going to sleep. I like to rub lavender on my pillow case in the evening so the aroma is right there while I sleep.
Another trick that I and others that I know use and that is to go on a mental vacation. That is right, a vacation. No, you won't want to try to win any softball trophies while doing this, think of a calm and relaxing event for you to play in or go to. Set the scene and go with it, An ocean visit walking along the beach. Visualizing the breeze, the sand beneath your toes and the waves coming in and out. See yourself relaxing, enjoying the sunlight. Keep going till you start feeling relaxed. Soon you should be so lost in this scene that you begin to drift off without even knowing it.

Remembering that you are in the scene to relax. So begin with a nice, serene environment for your mind and body to play in.

No matter what technique you choose, hopefully insomnia will pass quickly.
