For those of you that are lucky enough to have Persimmon trees in their yards save those leaves!

Persimmon leaves are used in good fortune spells and rituals. As the tree starts loosing the leaves go out and scoop these up. Be sure that you dry and preserve them correctly to use all year round.

If you are needing leaves directly from the tree, be sure that you ask the tree's permission before you pick the leaves off. Spot a leaf or grouping of leaves that you would like, touch these leaves and politely ask for the tree to either drop them off for you or to give you a sign to be able to pick.

This may take an hour or up to a week to have the request answered. If you do not receive an answer you might try again. Explain more in depth of why you need them. No answer still? I would say the tree is saying no to your request and you might look to the ground for the leaves that have previously fallen.
