Loosing Faith
There are times in our lives when we feel that everything is going wrong. Matters little to how big or how small, these things just keep popping up. Each day there are things that happen and you might sit there and wonder the same time old question asked:
Why me?
Going further we may think further are all these things really necessary to happen? At the time we do not not think that they really are. Wondering how much more can we take. At our weakest moments our spirituality might be questioned. Is it really strong enough to hold on to? Or rather are we strong enough to continue the plights that are happening and yet remain true to our paths.
All these things that happen are merely tests. Tests of strength for our inner spirituality, tenacity of moving on and facing these events straight in the eye and solving them. Yes, there are times it seems that it is pouring down troubles with no ending in sight. But there will be an end to them. Once we have gone through those trying times we come out a stronger and better person.
Finding that our deities are not the ones that need to resolve issues but we the mere mortals must. They stand next to us saddened by what we are going through knowing that it is something that has to be done. Not wishing us to have so much pain and anxiety but they know that we will survive.
There will be those that walk off the path they are traveling with the thoughts that their deities left them not realizing they did not. Shaking fists at asking why they have forsaken them. Giving in to their fears of being alone during times of trouble and sorrow. Many will return after a period of time. Understanding that we must go through these trying times alone on the mortal plane of existence as it is our destiny.
We are never alone in our faith. Our deities are our silent partners. Much like parents that know it is healthy to let our children make their own mistakes and live their own lives the way they choose. But being there to catch them when they fall.
In these trying times, sit for a moment very quietly. Feel their presence next to you. Open your hearts and arms as they are there waiting for you to do this.
Faith is not lost. It is merely hiding sometimes

I think self-doubt is a part of everybody's life. I think times like that are a learning experience. Think of the people who never have doubts...they are just kidding themselves. Life seems like a spiritual journey, not a destination.
