My son's birthday is January 3rd. It is really hard to buy a gift for him not long after Yule. But this year I purchased New York Yankees tickets for him and one of his friends to go.

I know that placing a reserve on these tickets may seem silly to do right now but in the long run it is well worth it to me. He will be so excited when he learns that they will not only be able to go to the game but also have their stay completely paid for.

Of course, they will have to take along some spending money to buy the silly things that they will want. Since he will be 19 I thought that it would make a nice gift showing that I thought he was responsible enough to travel without the family being there with him.
