Witches Brew With Ghostly Manifestations
Are you looking for something to brew in your cauldron that won't take a long time and yet taste absolutely yummy? Here is a recipe that we have had great success in brewing each year.
Even the little goblins love to help make this and of course to drink the end result!
If you are attending a child's or even an adult party this will be a great hit!
Witches Brew With Ghostly Manifestations
1 generous cup miniature marshmellows
24 whole cloves
1/2 gallon apple cider
3 cups grape juice
1/2 cup orange juice
3 tbs. lemon juice
3 tbs. star anise(about 48)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbs. finely sliced ginger
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Butter a baking sheet and and sift confectioners sugar over it. Arrange marshmellows into 12 vaguely triangular shapes to form ghosts, about 8-9 marshmenllos per ghost. Bake until they melt, about 5 minutes. Do not let them get brown. Insert cloves for eyes intot he top marshmallow of each triangle. Let the ghosts cool completely before removing them with a spatula
2. Combine the remaining ingredients in a large pot and place it over med. heat until the mixture is warm to the touch. Do not let it come to a boil. Let the brew stand for at least 2 hours. Transfer to a punch bowl and float the ghosts on top. Serve cold or at room temperature. Makes 3 quarts.
