One thing is for certain it is certainly a sign of growing up when one of your children decide to do something that is grown up. My son, Trevor, has decided that he is opening his own checking account here in town.

I had been telling him that he should but you know kids, listen to you they do not do all the time. Then one day he got tired of spending all his pay check in one weekend. He loves to save money but going out and having fun with his friends cut into the saving.

Now, though he wants to save for a truck. I explained that if he saves I will start matching what he puts in the bank. A nice sign that he is growing up.

Saving money for something that he wants and not asking me to purchase it
