Incense: How Many Forms Are There? Part Two

Incense: How Many Forms Are There? Part Two

We have already talked about Direct Burning. Now let us turn our attention to the the next part:

Indirect Burning

What is indirect burning? Indirect burning is non-combustible incense. It is made with no combustible material in it at all. Oh, you may do this but that is for another discussion.

The making of the incense is by an aromatic ingredients that you wish when preparing. And not made in any shapes or forms. With this type of incense you will need an outside source in order to make the incense burn. It will not simply light and burn. It needs a continual heat source.

Depending on the material used, this incense may burn easily, for long periods or short periods.

Most will use charcoal disks that are especially made for this type of incense. Please do not use BBQ coals. It can be used in small chunks, but it may have poison gas and make you ill. Now, we don't want that to happen. There are many company's that sell these disks. Some even offer a  franchise opportunity for those that are interested.

People they use the resins are familiar with the use and handling of charcoal disks. Always make sure that you use the appropriate heat proof container for these disks. As they get extremely hot. NEVER leave unattended either. They do burn for a long while.

Using the indirect burning method is for some the easiest. Making their own incense to suit either their personal aromatic senses or for that special working.

With anything that you do that requires fire or inense heat, use with care and caution.
