One thing that is for sure about Spring is that we have this compulsive near disorder to clean. Oh, come on you know you do. I know that I sit and come up with all kinds of things that need to be cleaned. It's crazy when you think about it.

We rarely do this in the summer and winter, well forget that. But come the first budding flowers, blooms on the trees and warm light air, we are cleaning fools. One thing that I love to do is break out the old steam cleaner and clean my area rugs.

Since I have hard wood floors throughout the house I only use accent rugs. They still get dirty. With pets, children and guests they have a lot of traffic. Even my antique rugs get it. More dust that just embeds in there. The steam cleaner does the trick and the rooms feel and smell a lot better.

Spring cleaning lasts all May. I think they should come up with a medication to prevent this behavior.
